Wall Painting by students

 "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm"

Five students of final year (2022-23) approached us with the idea of beautifying the department of Mathematics. The result is what we see below - 'A tree of Mathematical equations/concepts' - a wall painting. The concept was designed and executed by them in 5 days. 

Tree of mathematical equations / concepts

Most of the equations/concepts chosen have behind them inspiring  mathematical endeavors and interesting stories. The intention of the tree is not to show (which cannot be too in an infinitely small wall before an infinitely huge ocean of knowledge) importance of Mathematics to others, but to constantly get motivated or curious by seeing some of the beautiful equations/concepts.

यथा शिखा मयूराणां , नागानां मणयो यथा । 

तद् वेदांग शास्त्राणां , गणितं मूर्धनि स्थितम् || 

Like the crowning crest of a peacock, shining gem in the cobra’s hood,
Mathematics is permanently positioned at the top of all Veda shastras (equivalently sciences)
